DJ Menno de Jong 2 (From study to Artwork)

Because i am a huge fan of the great Menno de Jong I decided a long time ago to paint his portrait. However, I never could really picture him the way I wanted. One day a started out on this “study”. During the making of this painting I changed my view, and made a completely different piece of art of him.

That second artwork I handed over at his Menno Solo event in Amsterdam 2016. And this first study still remained and I actually liked it as well. I liked it so much, I finished it in oil paint and gave it to him when he visited my studio last August. He is now the proud owner of two of my artworks.
